The Vitalia Men’s Tennis Team was crowned Champion of the 2021/2022 Indian River/Martin/St Lucie (IRMST) Thursday Men 55+ Tennis League.  Twelve teams competed in this league that ran on Thursdays from 9 December 2021 through 7 April 2022 in a 5-court doubles match format.  One point was awarded per match/court won each week.  Vitalia dominated the league winning overwhelmingly 85% of the matches and finished 1st place in the standing with 68 points, 14 points ahead of 2nd place North River Shores Tennis Club.  Our own Gary Brietling topped the league in the player standing with 14-0 win/loss record.  Team Vitalia had a phenomenal performance with 5 players finishing in the Top-10 list out of 234 participants overall.  Congratulations to Gary Brietling, Bill Strong, Jimmy Dwyer, Jim Follin, David Brietling, Len Levin, Joscelino Maiolo, Roddy Williams, Kevin Danahy, Steve Kubala, Joe Marazzo, Edwin Monge, Mark Gold, Sandy Costello, Bob Memis, Fernando Roque, and Andres Padilla for putting the Vitalia community on the Treasure Coast tennis map.  Thanks to our extraordinary 5-court facilities, Vitalia looks forward to participate and defend the Champion title next year.
